Old geezers and whippersnappers, dodderers and teenagers, old and decrepit versus naïve and agile: When dealing with age, prejudice is rife. Yet generations are separated by more then just their age – they have a different outlook on life, different ways of living and a different education and of course different perspectives. What happens when the old meet the young on stage, body meets body and elderly bones meet buoyant limbs, experience of life meets hunger for life? In «The Day Before Yesterday is The Day After Tomorrow, No 3» 17 people of different ages with little to a lot of dance experience meet, interact with each other and also sound out the game with the bassist and the Schwyzerörgeli player - shy, perky and playful.

Voices of audience

We are shown 17 people on stage who hide nothing of themselves and openly encounter each other in movement they have found together. Lucía empowers the dancers to find an elegance and sincerity in their own physicality and to bring it out in the open. Thus, one is encouraged to really see what is there; a search for patterns, deeper meaning, red thread becomes secondary, even superfluous. Because this encounter of the dancers is powerful, playful and honest enough!
The fine seriousness with which the dancers appear before the audience without denying anything about themselves is so disarming and liberating that in the end what remains is the pure joy of witnessing this encounter of the dancers and becoming part of it. Many, many thanks for this stunningly great evening!
